On Sunday, 23 October 2011, between 1:45 UTC (3:45 CEST) and 2:15 UTC (4:15 CEST) the german ROentgen SATellite ROSAT has re-entered Earth's atmosphere. There is currently no confirmation if pieces of debris have reached Earth's surface.http://www.spaceflight101.com/rosat-re-entry-information.html
During the Entry time frame, the satellite passed over the Indian Ocean and parts of Asia (Myanmar and China). USSTRATCOM predictions had estimated re-entry to occur after the perigee at ~2:00 UTC for a crash just south of Chongqing, China - the largest city in the world. If ROSAT actually hit land will be announced later when more data has been analyzed.

During the Entry time frame, the satellite passed over the Indian Ocean and parts of Asia (Myanmar and China). USSTRATCOM estimations indicate an Entry time of 1:50 UTC +/- 7 Minutes. This Entry time would put the satellite in the Indian Ocean away from China. Where exactly the debris hit will be announced later when more data has been analyzed.
