After reading the Yahoo News article that the military has planted psyops personnel in civilian media to learn persuasion techniques (Army embeds active-duty PSYOPS soldiers at local TV stations ) I think it is time to re-address a theory I presented when I stated this blog: See Is Kyron missing? ) - the same thing I posted on oregonlive in late june in more detail.
This entire case smelled fishy from the start. The parents refused to search, the media libeled Terri from the start, Terri's defense attorney uncharacteristically gives no statement on behalf of his client, the searches are so bizarre (rappelling down cliffs and searching fields too muddy in june for someone to go out in to hide a body) that I had my suspicions from the start this was a homeland security psychological / brainwashing test or a balloon boy episode (or a real life reality show) In june on oregonlive after Terri was starting to be blamed for Kyron going missing, I stated that if it were a reality TV show then there would be another person "voted out". With Kaine and Desiree now seemingly at odds (Desiree still blaming Terri and Kaine seemingly distancing himself from that view and from Desiree) it gives this theory a little more credibility than it had last week.
If Kyron is really missing, then what I see is the government or military using the situation to brainwash and manipulate people through the media. Obviously the "Terri is guilty" herd has been brainwashed into thinking she is guilty with absolutely no real evidence. Nothing has been typical of this case from day one. Even the fundraisers where people donate money for searches yet none of it is being used for searches and the agencies that usually care about such things ignore it. It also seems what people post about online is brought out in the media a week or two later - sort of like they are taking the script from what people are posting about. The discrepancies of what Kaine and Desiree say from one press conference to another is also very strange - especially since the press goes right along with it without questioning it. It is also very odd that whenever Kaine and/or Desiree choose to speak, the media is right there any time and any place - even after one bizarre event after another.
I'll continue to post about Kyron as though he is really missing although I believe some sort of intentional manipulation or brainwashing is also taking place. Maybe the emperor really does have clothes but so far I do not see them (see: The Emperor's New Clothes ) If Kyron is really missing, this needs to start being investigated like a real case and not like a reality TV show.
I pray the truth about this whole bizarre story comes out soon and the perpetrators are found and punished for what they have done - whether it is for Kyron missing or for the fraud they have committed on the people (or both)

Sauvie Island searches: A training exercise. Is Terri no longer a suspect?

The search stories probably seem legitimate to those with the herd mentality although the thinkers can see some major problems with it. First, if the ground was too wet and the water table too high in order to search in june, then it was too high for Terri (or anyone else) to have waded into it to do anything with Kyron. Terri's timeline (see: Terri's Timeline) does not give her enough time to wade out into a muddy field or wilderness area and bury Kyron without leaving any mud of other evidence in the truck.
The wilderness areas on Sauvie Island is 31 minutes from Skyline school according to mapquest. Terri only had 90-120 minutes unaccounted for. In one hour driving time, that would be at the most 60 minutes to kill and bury Kyron and clean up the mud. So either law enforcement has ruled Terri out or they are grasping at straws.
Another problem with the search is that they are searching mowed fields and crops (corn / pumpkins) So they think a farmer would not notice a body or grave if they mowed over it several times throughout the summer? The crops were planted and a farmer would have noticed something. Once again, in the cold wet spring, the fields were way to muddy for anyone to wade through let alone wade through carrying a body and the equipment to bury it.
Kaine's sunday statement, he never mentioned Terri was responsible in contrast with Desiree on friday. Of course this could be because of the abatement hearing on thursday.
So it needs to be asked: Why are they searching for Kyron in fields and areas that were way too wet and muddy for someone to go out and bury him in june? This makes as much (non) sense as rappelling down cliffs looking for the body thinking someone carried a body and equipment down a cliff which certainly would not be Terri, DeDe, or another alleged accomplice (See: Is common sense being used on the Kyron searches? ) So this, and the statement in the KGW Sauvie Island article (link above) that the current searches are mostly volunteers when the early searches, after it was declared a criminal case, were all law enforcement tells me this is just a training exercise for volunteer SAR under the guise of a real search mission --- and it doesn't hurt that it keeps the interest up in the case, donations flowing in, and that page hits and ad revenue increases for the Portland media either. Everyone wins except Kyron.

Kaine Horman's reward fund fraud
On Friday, Desiree Young (Kyron's mother) begged Terri's family and friends to donate money to the reward fund to increase the reward for Kyron. Today, sunday, Kaine Horman says there is no way to transfer the amount from the search fund people are donating to to the reward fund. So that means Desiree and Kaine can spend the money donated for the reward fund any way they want to (per Desiree's own words on friday) --- which means it will not be going to increase the reward as people were led to believe.

Her plea for more money for the reward fund has triggered an increase in donations to the search and rescue fund. The problem is that there isn’t currently a mechanism for money from the search and rescue fund to be transferred over to the reward.
So, Kaine said, in the meantime, people can continue to give to the search and rescue fund or wait until there is a way to donate to the reward.

cyberwars and Stuxnet : WWIII may - or may have - started in cyber-space
Stuxnet is a very unique and powerful malware program (think virus) that is installed on a specific PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) device that looks for a particular setting on Siemens equipment. It then interjects its own code into the device. The infected equipment can then be used to turn off or destroy the infrastructure that it controls. While it was created a year ago, it was first found in Siemens equipment in India in May 2010 (some sources say the first finding was in june or july)
Stuxnet is very complex and specific. Most [internet] security experts believe it was designed by a nation state for a specific target. That target was apparently Iran's nuclear program and specifically its Bushehr reactor which, when operational, will be able to be used to make nuclear weapons grade fuel from the spent rods. It is interesting Stuxnet has also spread to China recently.
Currently Russian nuclear engineers, technicians, and contractors are fleeing Iran since Iran has been questioning the foreign nationals [Russians] who have been working in Iran's nuclear program. It is unclear if Stuxnet was sent through the internet to infect Iran's nuclear equipment and then was installed on the equipment by the Russian nuclear workers or if it was unwittingly brought into the country by the Russian workers via infected Siemens equipment.
Because of the Stuxnet infection of its nuclear program, Iran is threatening war against its enemies (the rest of the world) and because of this and new threats by Osama bin Laden, the UK, Germany, France, and Sweden are on high terror alert. The United States has put Europe on a travel advisory for American citizens. There is expected to be a major terror attack soon and apparently they expect it to be in Europe.
Very interesting over the past year the United States was wanting an increase in internet security and Obama wanted powers to turn off the internet if needed. I wonder if they knew about Stuxnet last year and wanted to prepare for repercussions from it after it was deployed
